♦ He is a Mediator (volunteer for a non-project organization), helping people resolve their conflicts through an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process. He helps resolve conflict with Unlawful Detainer, Small Claim, Civil Harassment cases for the Santa Clara County Court.
♦ A volunteer at the Urban Land Institute (ULI), helping high school, college students, planning officials learn modeling, urban planning process.
♦ He has served the City of San Jose as a Planning Commissioner, Chair 2017-2018, Vice-Chair 2016-2017, where he has the responsibility of making decisions/recommendations to the Mayor/City Councils of Land Use for the future development of the city, according to its General Plan and Policy. He is familiar with city policies relating to Land Use, Zoning, Pre-Zoning, Re-Zoning, General Plan Amendments and Code Amendments. He is knowledgeable of all the major aspects in development from Design Guideline to Permit, to high level urban planning process.
Prior to becoming a full-time, Broker/Realtor, he spent 10+ years of his professional career in the High-Tech companies ranging from startup to Fortune 500 company, holding various positions in Engineering, Marketing, Sales & Management.
A graduate from Mountain View (Awalt) H.S. and San Jose State University Alumni. He is currently residing in San Jose with his family for the past 40 years. He is also bilingual in English-Vietnamese.
